13th Annual Southeastern Student Wilderness Medicine Conference
Hosted by Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine
Roanoke, VA - March 7-8, 2020

Are you an outdoor enthusiast? Are you looking for opportunities to merge your interests in outdoor adventures with your future as a healthcare provider?

Blue Ridge Adventure Medicine has partnered with Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine to host the 13th annual SE Student Wilderness Medicine Conference in Roanoke, VA on March 7-8th, 2020. 

This affordable conference will provide both didactic and hands-on opportunities to build your knowledge on how to manage common emergencies in austere environments and improvise with limited resources. Nationally renowned healthcare providers with careers focused in wilderness medicine will host sessions ranging from Wilderness Toxicology, SCUBA Emergencies, Avalanche and Hypothermia Management, and more.

Registration Fee:
  • December 15 - January 26: $50
  • January 27 - February 10: $65
  • February 11 - March 4: $75

Registration must be made online in advance - no onsite registration will be available. Registration fee is nonrefundable.

The registration fee includes the opportunity to attend all didactic sessions, participation in a team-based wilderness emergency scenario, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and a drawstring bag with conference merchandise.

The conference is open to outdoor enthusiasts and all current or future healthcare providers interested in wilderness medicine.
