This extended version of the Costa Rica Whitewater Rafting & Wilderness Medicine CME Trek includes all activities in the standard program plus an additional day at Ríos Lodge to participate in a community wilderness first aid training session for local river guides.
Participants will spend an additional night at the lodge and help deliver a free wilderness medicine course to members of the local guiding community. This is one of the most meaningful parts of the expedition and directly supports the river community and conservation initiatives in the Pacuare watershed.
The additional day also allows time for optional lodge activities such as:
• Waterfall hikes
• Tubing and river exploration
• Jungle wildlife tours
• Yoga, meditation, and relaxation at the lodge

Arrive Costa Rica: November 2
Depart Costa Rica: November 8
Participants remain at Ríos Lodge an extra day before rafting out and returning to San José.
